This book is for the person who wants to understand how to embrace, or choose not to embrace the challenges that come with being a solo practitioner. It is not so much a how to book, as it is a check on your inner compass on whether solo practice is for you. Very enlightening.

This reading does not tell you exactly "how" but covers all bases, bringing business and Law together. Some of us who are a little older have been closers in sales and have been in business for ourselves. Solo practice is where I'm heading age 40, hands down. But it doesn't mean a 25yr old law grad who just passed the bar can't do it either. Book is very motivating. Don't need to beg anyone to hire you for a pittance or do what "they" tell you, if you're disciplined and hardworking.GREAT READING!!!

Definitely not a guide to setting up a law practice, but it does provide some good advice about your attitude and expectations when starting out. Plus, it's a quick read.

This book was a quick but powerful read. It put a lot of the fears of opening a solo firm in a perspective that inspired me to keep focus and stay committed. If starting a solo firm is what you want to do but you feel hesitant, this book will ease your mind!

A large part of starting and sustaining a solo law practice is the proper mindset. There are many challenges and obstacles you will face and in starting your own firm. The author identifies potential challenges in opening a firm and offers great perspectives on how to deal with them. He is also honest about what takes to maintain a practice and how to handle set-backs, self-doubt, and what other people think.I found his advice on envisioning your perfect client, building your brand, and defining your own idea of success most helpful.I wish this book was available years ago when I started my firm. I would recommend it to anyone considering going solo into law practice.

I enjoyed this e-book because it gave a good sense of the hopes and fears that accompanied the decision to start your own law firm. It gave me quite a few ideas about how I will translate its teachings into the work that I am doing – and that I aim to be doing – in my entrepreneurial journey.

A bit repetitive, but some really good information packed in this short book.

I was hesitant about this ebook, but it really has some good tips.
